How a message is counted
We meter the actual work in tokens, weighted the same way the model providers charge, and show it under every reply. Nothing is hidden and nothing is rounded up more than once.
- What counts: the answer it writes, the thinking it does, and any new material it reads — your message, your files.
- Weighted the way providers price them: an output token counts 5, a new input token 1.25, context already read earlier in the chat 0.1. Follow-ups are far cheaper than new questions.
- Flagship models (Sol, Astra, Opus 5, Fable) count double.
- Rounded up to the next whole credit, once. Never more than 10 credits for one message.
- Nothing ran, nothing charged — a failed request costs 0.

What is a credit?
One credit is 8,000 weighted tokens of work — roughly one quick question; a task that reads files and works in steps takes several. Tokens are how AI models measure text; we weight them the way providers price them (output ×5, new input ×1.25, already-read context ×0.1), so the answer, the thinking and any new material it reads all count, and follow-ups are cheap. Flagship models count double. Each message is rounded up once and capped at 10 credits. Images start at 10 credits, video at 30. Every reply shows its tokens and credits, so you can always see where your balance went.
How far do 1,000 credits go?
It depends on what you ask. A quick question is 1 credit. A task that reads a file and works through a few steps is usually 3–5. A long job on a flagship model — several files, many steps — hits the 10-credit cap. So Pro’s 1,000 credits is roughly 1,000 quick questions, or about 200 real agent tasks, or a mix. Watch the receipt under each reply for a week and you’ll know your own rate.
Does a failed or errored request cost credits?
No. If the model doesn’t answer — an error, a timeout, a request we rejected — you’re charged 0, and the receipt says so. If you ever see credits taken for a reply you didn’t get, send the receipt to support@yeschat.ai and we’ll sort it out.
Can one message cost a lot?
No. A long reply that reads several files may use a few credits, but a single message is capped at 10 — and every reply shows exactly what it cost, so there are no surprises on the balance.
Are there daily limits on paid plans?
No. Paid plans have one monthly pool of credits and no per-day or per-model message caps — use them when you like. Free is the only plan with a daily count (15 messages). Terra on Ultra and Max is unlimited, with a fair-use limit that only automated abuse would reach.
What does Free actually include?
15 messages a day with GPT-5.6 Luna in full agent mode — summarize a PDF, clean a spreadsheet, draft a deck, research with sources. Resets every day, never asks for a card. New accounts also get 60 one-time credits for images, video and music that never expire. Other models and more generation need a paid plan.
Is Terra really unlimited on Ultra and Max?
Yes. Chatting with GPT-5.6 Terra never touches your credits on those plans. Like any unlimited plan it has a fair-use limit to stop automated abuse — normal daily use, even heavy, never gets near it.
Do unused credits roll over?
Plan credits reset each billing cycle. Credits you buy separately never expire and are used only after your plan credits run out.
What happens to my credits when I upgrade or resubscribe?
Credits you bought separately stay with you through any upgrade, downgrade or resubscription. Upgrades apply immediately and you get the new plan’s monthly credits. If you cancel and come back later, anything you had bought is still there.
I paid, but my plan isn’t showing.
Your plan normally activates within a minute of payment. If it hasn’t after a few minutes, email support@yeschat.ai from the address on your account with the payment receipt — we’ll activate it by hand and make sure you aren’t charged twice.
How do I cancel or switch plans?
Any time, from your account page — no email needed. Upgrades apply immediately. A cancelled plan stays active to the end of the cycle you’ve paid for, then stops; you won’t be charged again. If you can’t find the cancel option, write to support@yeschat.ai and we’ll do it for you.
Why is Ultra the popular one?
It is the first plan with Claude Opus 5 and GPT-5.6 Sol, and it triples the credits of Pro for twice the price.
